Just a quick mid-week post for you! I am so honored to be mentioned by 2 famous paleo ladies! Trina with Primal Life Organics on her popular Facebook page– check it out here! I am so excited to share all about the PLO skin food I use now. My mother-in-law gave me some for Christmas and I’ve been using it ever since The other famous gal, Heather from her beautiful paleo food blog, Multiply Delicious— check it out here! And look at that chicken salad recipe… I will be whipping that up soon
So I am trying out these Paleo Wraps that are conveniently at Crossfit Candor! You’ll see how I used/using the wraps below and my snack bars for the week above– That’s It bar, Epic bar, Radbar Nutrition bar, and The Caveman Paleo bar.
First up… Salmon wrap! Chipotle paleo mayo, arugula, mushrooms, and avocado. Delicious
And the wraps made an appearance tonight with a chicken wrap! David came in and grilled up some chicken and we sliced it and wrapped it with paleo mayo, arugula, and avocado. Serves with plantain chips and roasted cauliflower and radishes.
The Paleo Tex Mex Meatza from Health-Bent was awesome… Here’s the recipe link. I served ours with salsa, arugula, plantain chips (like pepperoni!), and some goat cheese. Delicious with roasted veggies on the side.
I was left with some very ripe bananas last night and you know what that means… Banana bread. But this time I tried out my first chocolate swirled recipe. Since I was on Health-Bent’s site for the meatza, I searched for banana bread. Of course they had a delicious take on it
Here’s the recipe link– Paleo Banana Bread. I didn’t have a cup of almond butter so I used what I had and threw some raw almonds with that in a blender. Added the rest of the ingredients and blended it up! I added a splash of vanilla and pinch of cinnamon. Again all in the blender because I didn’t feel like doing 2 bowls… So much I know
I baked it for about 45 minutes– worth every minute! No I didn’t eat that whole pan We did taste test before bed then stored it away for breakfast/snack. It is delicious… For the swirl I melted Enjoy Life chocolate chunks.
Last thing before I call this a wrap… Haha am I the only who who just laughed? Look at the blog title… Kombucha! David and I made our first batch of kombucha y’all and it is perfect! Praise The Lord! Look for my review of Jill Ciciarelli‘s book, Fermented, over at Against All Grain’s website soon! Between that book and a kit from Kombucha Brooklyn I was successful! The kit isn’t necessary but made it easier for me
Now we are making our own kombucha… Which is fermented sweetened tea loaded with probiotics Yah! If you want more info on this stuff check Jill’s blog out, First Comes Health.
