Week 1 of July

My goodness… July! Can y’all believe it? I can’t. Here are some scenes… Yes video… From around the house. I hope to do more of this. Maybe. Haha 🙂


Watermelon… We went to Freshfully Saturday to stock up on some local grassfed goodies and veggies. Typically we do the Tuscaloosa markets but throw in a monthly run to Freshfully to work on our freezer space 🙂 And why not grab a watermelon?? And scored some local organic purple and red potatoes…

And a homemade vanilla marshmallow dipped in dark chocolate… Delicious treat- can’t wait to attempt my own!

Monday
B- Leftover hazelnut coffee pancakes
L- Meatballs with sautéed cabbage (thanks to Gabby for the suggestion on cabbage!)
D- Salmon with summer squash salad
Tuesday
*Chicken in the crockpot all day.
B- Eggs and bacon
L- Meatballs with cabbage
D- Roasted chicken with roasted veggie salad (whole chicken in the crockpot time)
Wednesday
B- Eggs and bacon
L- Chicken salad
D- Meatballs and cabbage
The 4th!
B- Paleo pancakes

D- Pending decision (BBQ something!)
Friday
B- Dinner leftovers

“Grace” Week Menu

Well as you can tell we didn’t eat last week… Haha kidding 😉 It was a “grace” week for me… With it being my first week at my new job and house stuff I thought I would allow myself to just plan as we went. And it went fine! Here’s some glances at the food from last week.

Our (current) go-to cookbook. We have enjoyed trying numerous recipes from the Health Bent book. I think we are more comfortable with making substitutions now as opposed to a year ago… Or even 6 months ago! 😉

Speaking of WODs… I’ve been enjoying outdoor WODs! David makes some tough ones but I enjoy it. Although one morning I did an inside WOD (100 burpees). That’s a tough one… Especially half asleep lol!

So we ate… And we ate so good! It can happen without planning a week’s worth but it sure makes it easier when it’s planned out 🙂
