License to Wed in Hand

David and I officially (well legally in Alabama) can get married!

So very exciting 🙂 Things are coming along well… Seems like this week might be a little crazy. I just keep thinking of things that I don’t want to forget… Meaning a manicure and pedicure. Haha 🙂 Also a massage… Ah. My bachelorette party was this past weekend and it couldn’t have been more perfect!

Lots of laughing and good food 🙂 Our engagement pictures are up on the Finch Photo’s blog… Click here to see them!

Can’t believe the wedding is almost 1 week away… So cool!

Blueberries in the Rain

Well hello there 🙂 Can you believe it is only 25 days until August 11th? So cool. If you didn’t know… That’s when I’ll be saying a little line to a special someone (“I do” to be exact)! Unbelievable… And so exciting 🙂 We have a party this weekend in his hometown and then the following weekend will be bachelor/bachelorette adventures. So here’s what has been going on!

I broke in our very first piece “All Clad” with a classic… Spaghetti. Couldn’t go wrong! I also made some yummy meatballs that I’ll be sharing the recipe for soon.

Leftover ingredients (onion, spinach, etc.) turned into breakfast with eggs the following morning. And I had to give the homemade blueberry jam a try. Delicious!

We had a great party for our Crossfit community Sunday… We ate and watched the last day of the Games. That’s one of the many reasons why I love CF… The community you join and the great people that you workout with 🙂

We had a date night at the Cheesecake Factory. I tried their mojito… Deliciousness.

Another fun date night happened too… Picking blueberries! We had engagement pictures that day… It rained on us while we picked but nothing stopped us from getting the berries 🙂 We had to pick so we can wrap up the blueberry jam making! When we were coming back from the farm I laughed and told David how funny was it that we went from dressy dressy to by the end of the day in rain boots and wet hair! Such a diverse couple.

Here are a few more pictures from pickin berries…

I kidded David and said this was “pre-washed” berries… Get it? Rain washing them off… Hahah. 🙂

It was so peaceful just hearing it rain and pickin… No one was really talking except the occasional joke about needing “windshield wipers” for our eyes… It was nice!

And before we knew 2 gallons were picked and we headed back.

I kind of want to make a cobbler like I did last year for the 4th… But who knows! Maybe if some are leftover.

I’ll tell ya one thing, our garden loves this afternoon rain pattern we have been in… Tomatoes are coming in daily along with okra and cucumbers!

I hope you have a great week 🙂
